Lucky for us he falls hard and fast for Katherine. Side characters were boring af, and I didn't care about any of them. The plot twist about Katherine's mother was kind of convoluted and required a bit of suspension of disbelief. And for the identity of Katherine's father, there's a lot of red herrings and it's supposed to be a mystery but also at some point I just gave up caring.

They both shared a difficult life growing up but found happiness in each other's company. She goes to find her biological father and finds out who her mother was. This is about a young woman, who lost her mother at the age of 12, never knowing anything about her Mother's past. She is totally convinced that he will be thrilled to meet her and will instantly love her.

Even though I haven’t been to the derby like Zac and Katherine I used to go to the race track here in town with my family. Katherine Whitfield never knew her father and lost her mother when she was only twelve. She longs for family ties, for roots, and most importantly for love.
He gets mad at Sora, who wanted to take the blame for the others, and then starts to blame Joe, despite him having nothing to do with it. Duane then accidentally knocks Izzy over the bridge, and as he is falling towards the water, Motimon digivolves to Tentomon just in time to save him. Meanwhile, the group decides to travel home on the subway. After a bit of confusion, Izzy finds the quickest route to Odaiba. They buy their tickets and once again tell their Digimon to try to avoid public attention by not talking or moving. Right before the subway arrives, Koromon and Tsunomon jump on the train tracks ready to attack, thinking the train is an evil Digimon.

The English dub adds some whistling noises for the subway train, whereas in the original, there were none. One shot of Sora and Mimi holding up a sign saying "Take us to Odaiba" was cut from the English dub. The Japanese name of Highton View Terrace, "Hikarigaoka", is left unreplaced on a street sign. DemiDevimon is talking with Myotismon and explains that Garudamon was spotted in town along with the seven children. He explains that they have not yet found the eighth DigiDestined, but they are still looking harder than ever all around the city, and he probably will be found soon. Myotismon then tells DemiDevimon that he has to make sure the seven DigiDestined do not find the eighth child.
In the past, it was labelled as simply being sludge. Most of the audience for the fight between Ikkakumon and Gesomon thinks the fight is a scene from a movie or television ad. Ironically, the scene was used within the ads for Our War Game! In the original version, when Gomamon snatches promotion tokens from a woman, Joe yells that Gomamon's just a toy. In the English dub, however, he tries to pass him off as a dog.
The community is very snooty and thinks about blood lines and horses. Zach is on the outside since his father scammed many of the people in town, and are making Zach pay for his father’s sins. The Stanton’s though believed in him when he was 16 and took him in. He is also bitter because years ago his fiancé left him standing at the alter. Whilst hitchhiking, Matt originally managed to get an older looking woman in a red sports car to pull over, much to his embarrassment.
Sometimes things need to be stirred up before changes can be made and steps forward can be accomplished. After eating, the kids decide that they should attempt hitchhiking home, because they don't have money for the subway, and it's better than walking. Tai tries to stop a car first with no luck and tells Matt to try next, but he appears to be too embarrassed to do it.

Barbara was traditionally published for many years, then formed her own publishing company FOG CITY PUBLISHING in 2011 and has since sold over 10 million books! She has published 75 novels ranging from mystery thrillers to romantic suspense and contemporary romance. I loved going on the journey of all the twists and turns. 4 stars for the story of Katherine and Zach.

Story and characters were good, sometimes the story dragged, but I really enjoyed it. I love Barbara’s books, she is one of my favourite authors. She finds a chest in the attic that belong to her mother filled with a quilt and things from a small town in Kentucky where the Kentucky Derby is. I don't like things that don't make sense. The heroine, who doesn't know who her biological father is, finds a clue to his home town and his first initial - J. She travels into a deeply conservative small town and announces to strangers that she is there to find her father.
